In 1986, from a room over a garage, Suzanne Marks and Tony Nino began advertising with a single goal: crafting the most memorable and compelling images audiences could imagine. From the beginning, Suzanne and Tony exploited their extensive backgrounds in retail and entertainment. They treated customers like audiences. They respected their intellect but targeted their emotions.

For twenty years, this formula has profited clients ranging from the entertainment industry to engineering firms. No matter how diverse their target audiences, they touched them emotionally. They used colors, sounds, shapes, personalities, comedy, tragedy and music. They reached the audience on the road with billboards and radio, at home with television and print, in airports with banners and backlit transparencies. They reached them where they lived, and worked and shopped – even at the movies.

As Pasadena’s client base grew, they kept the agency lean. They replaced conventional agency infrastructure with select strategic alliances. They never owned a production company – they worked with the best in the business. They chose media buyers based solely on specific client needs. They measured market conditions with the research professionals most attuned to the audience clients were targeting. They directed the questions, pointed out directions, set solid goals and made sure they were met.

In twenty years, they have moved, ironically, from above a garage to a restored and renovated livery stable in historic downtown Old Pasadena. From this bright and airy studio on Dayton Street, they design and produce brochures, packaging, broadcast concepts and polished print ads for magazines and newspapers around the world.

They still abide by their original goal. For every client, they create wonder with innovative vocabularies designed to move people. In print, in store, on the air or on the net, they create compelling images that speak in a single voice to embrace every aspect of their clients’ brands. Their secret now is as it was then: Innovative concepts and uncompromising service.
