A Stitch of Time

In 2007, a ruptured aneurysm devastated the Brocca’s area of Lauren Marks’ brain and left her with aphasia. Her vocabulary was slashed to 40 words, and letters lost their meaning. After years of speech and language therapy, she recovered enough to write a memoir of her experience, to be published by Simon and Schuster in May 2017. She asked us to make a website especially for aphasiacs, who cannot read, and their loved ones who might not understand. With its array of navigation, action icons and sound, astitchoftime.com has won multiple awards and praise from language therapists worldwide.
